But what is the Hintertux Glacier? The Hintertux Glacier is the glacier ski area on the Tuxer Ferner and the neighbouring Riepenkees next to the village of Hintertux at the end of the Tuxertal, a neighbouring valley of the Zillertal in Tyrol, Austria.

The Hintertux Glacier stands for 365 days of snow fun and offers the longest ski season in Austria. There are up to 62 kilometres of pistes in winter and up to 20 kilometres of pistes in summer.

The glacier in Austria offers a great advantage due to its altitude. In spring, summer and autumn, it continues to provide ideal skiing conditions. The Hintertux glacier region offers spectacular views of the mountains, while elsewhere the ski season is already over. You can definitely ski longer here than anywhere else!
